Allwell Akhigbe

Allwell Akhigbe

Allwell Akhigbe is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Travaille Ensemble. He has 7 years of experience in delivering high-quality business development and grants management in international development for American nonprofits and consulting firms, International non -governmental organizations (INGOs) working in West Africa and local NGOs in Nigeria. Allwell is familiar with and has won multi-million dollar grants from the Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), United States Government (USG) agencies such as the US State Department Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL), European Union, the World Bank and other United Nations agencies.

His competencies include capture management, prepositioning, developing business development standard operating procedures, proposal writing, grants management, and donor relations. Allwell holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Nexford University, Washington DC, a Master of Arts in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies and Diplomacy from the University of Benin, Nigeria. Business development is a passion for him, as he genuinely loves to be in the background weaving those relationships and partnerships that enable social impact organizations to deepen their impact. He started out in an entry-level role as a Business Development Assistant and worked his way up to Business Development Manager in an American social impact organization.

 

His career spans international and local nonprofits and companies, including Cadasta Foundation, Forcier Consulting, Search for Common Ground, and Building Blocks for Peace Foundation. Allwell has acquired extensive experience in business development across the regions of West Africa, East Africa, Central Africa, Southern Africa, Latin America, and Asia Pacific.  He is fluent in English and French, having bagged a DELF B2 certificate in 2022.

Tolulope Oluwafemi

Tolulope Oluwafemi is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at Travaille Ensemble. She has 7 years of experience in leading operations, administration, and financial management of social impact projects in West Africa. Her passion drives her to ensure that social impact projects are not derailed, so she invests her ideas and energy to ensure that projects are delivered on scope, on time, and budget. Tolulope is highly skilled in project management, financial management, administration, operations management, and business development. Her diverse career has seen her work with local grassroots organizations serving marginalized groups such as widows, orphans, and vulnerable youth in the informal settlements of Abuja, Nigeria; collaboration with an American university to determine the impact of youth-led Nigerian organizations along with mapping out the West African philanthropy support ecosystem in Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Senegal, and Côte d’Ivoire. 

Tolulope has seen first-hand the power that more resources and enhanced capacity of African nonprofits can have in deepening their impact in local communities at the grassroots. She co-founded Travaille Ensemble to serve as that vehicle that enables local nonprofits to be more, do more, and sustain the gains in their local societies. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Nexford University, Washington D.C., and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Education from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria.
